Spend your summer outdoors at Calusa Camp!

Event Details

Your child can explore the Southwest Florida ecosystem on our 105 acre property, cool off in the planetarium dome, learn about wildlife, natural history, nature art and so much more!

Weekly themes are as follows:
* May 31: Wild Outdoors Exploration

o How much energy can you exert while exploring our great 105 acre land?!

* June 3-7: Nature Artists

o What kind of beauty can you create and find in nature?

* June 10-14: Native Nature

o What plant & animal species do we have in our own backyard?

* June 17-21: Invasive Week

o What plant & animal species should we NOT have on our land, & how do we identify them?

* June 24-June 28: Survival Week

o How would you survive in the wild? Learn those very important skills this week at Calusa!

* July 1-3 & 5: Patriotic Week

o Every state has their own species, learn about your favorite states and the patriotic wildlife we encounter!

* July 8-12: Grossology

o What ‘ewww’ species can we observe under the microscope and find on our trails?! Time to get messy!

* July 15-19: Out of this World Space Week

o Let’s go on a mission to space by exploring our planetarium, trails and very own museum!

* July 22-26: Natural Careers Week

o Are you interested in being a naturalist? Herpetologist? Or even Entomologist? Learn all about these exciting careers & more this week!

* July 29-Aug.2: Calusa History Week

o Calusa is almost 50 years old! Learn all about Calusa history, land, and wildlife!

* Aug.5-Aug.9: Nature Detectives

o Show off all you learned this summer by identifying all birds, plants, & animals that we learned about this past summer. Enjoy your last week of summer by spending it outdoor
