Join us for our Open Mic night hosted by the Hostess with the Mostest Jeanette Hickman! This is an opportunity for artists of all mediums to express their talent: Music, live painting, stand-up comedy, spoken word, poetry, reciting, acting, dancing any form of creative performance is welcome! Craft beer from Riptide Brewing Company, wine, and light bites will be served as part of this exciting evening! Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Event begins at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for current members of the UAC. If you're unsure if your membership is up to date, call the UAC at 239-254-8242. Your ticket includes your guaranteed seat at the event, beer and wine, light bites, and of course the exciting line-up of performances! Ticket sales help to support the cost of the event and future programs like this one!

Hostess Bio: In the South Florida art scene, Jeanette Hickman is known as the Hostess with the Mostest. She has seen thousands of people come through her shows over the years, has curated specialty events and stages, and has become a pillar of the local artistic community. Jeanette began performing spoken word poetry in 2011 at a small open mic in West Palm Beach. The show, called Lyrical Ink, provided a taste of artistic expression and creative community that inspired her to step into the spoken word world. She now runs and hosts that same Lyrical Ink show, which has grown exponentially with her care into a highly successful monthly event. She also hosts The Utterance, a bi-monthly open mic featuring local artists of all talents. Jeanette has developed a writing and performance workshop, Open Notes, designed to hone and shape creatives, and prepare them for her stages. Through her stages, many artists have been catapulted to further success. She has seen musicians sign on to record labels, creative collaborations recorded onto albums, ta
