The Farm City BBQ of Collier County is pleased to announce that the annual barbeque will be hosted by the Marine Industries Association of Collier County on Wednesday, November 22nd from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Cambier Park, in downtown Naples.
Event Details
With deep roots in Collier County’s business and agricultural community, the annual Farm City BBQ has become a favorite Thanksgiving tradition that has raised more than $300,000 for local non-profit organizations. The 2017 BBQ will be chaired by Bill Barker, President and Publisher of Naples Daily News and include the event’s signature SHULA CUT Steaks provided by Shula’s Naples, complete with Immokalee Salad and corn provided by Lipman’s, baked beans from Russell’s Clambakes, complimentary beer, wine and soda, as well as special entertainment.
While many relationships have been built through the BBQ, so have our next generation of leaders. As the event has grown over the past 15 years, the Farm City BBQ has donated proceeds back into the community to support youth leadership development programs. The beneficiaries of the 2017 BBQ will be the Collier County 4H Association, Youth Leadership Collier, the Collier County Junior Deputies League, and Key Club International. In recent years, more than $300,000 has been donated back into our community to support the progress of these organizations in providing hands-on education from elementary through high school students.
