This is a working session in which participants will discuss collaborative options for addressing Florida's crisis of harmful algal blooms.

Event Details

Cooperative strategies need to be identified and implemented to fight Florida’s harmful algal bloom crisis, including red tide and blue-green algae. Join this problem-solving roundtable designed around discussion of existing activities, how they complement each other and can be made more effective together, and developing new collaborative projects.

10:15 - 11:45 am ~ Discussion about what groups are already doing or planning on doing in relation to HABs

11:45 am - 12:00 pm ~ Legislative Update given by Jennifer Rubiello

12:00 - 12:30 pm ~ Lunch (will be provided)

12:30 - 2:00 pm ~ Collaborative discussion and formulation of projects

2:00 - 2:15 pm ~ Break

2:15 - 4:00 pm ~ Putting everything together with a special presentation by John Dawes from Chesapeake Commons, Water Reporter, and FieldDoc

4:00 - 7:00 pm ~ Optional Happy Hour
