Historical records in the Edsion archives show Mina Edison, wife of legendary inventor Thomas Edison as a gracious hostess and interested in the well-being of children and the community.
Event Details
Following in this tradition, Etiquette at Edison Ford includes a one day (two hour) lesson in etiquette and social skills.
Children ages 6 - 12 will gather at the Edison Caretaker’s House for a two-hour lesson in good manners. This class teaches proper introduction, handshakes and dining etiquette during a three-course meal. Each student will recieve a workbook and certificate of completion.
This class is taught by Suzanne Willis, who has been teaching similar classes at Ritz-Carlton hotels throughout the nation. Willis is a graduate of the Protocol School of Palm Beach and a Fort Myers native. Willis created her etiquette classes in honor of her grandmother, Florence “Mimi” Black.
