Southwest Florida Symphony

The Orchestra presents four pops concerts including a family-oriented Holiday Pops. Three chamber orchestra programs are presented annually at BIG Arts on Sanibel Island. Orchestra concerts are also offered at the Village church at Shell Point. The organization supports a youth orchestra program that includes a full youth symphony, a string ensemble for less-experienced players, a full Concert Orchestra for intermediate-level players and chamber ensembles for more advanced players. A string quartet and brass quintet present free educational programs in the local schools. Each year the Orchestra hosts a Young Artists Competition as well as providing various scholarship opportune ties. The Orchestra provides hundreds of free tickets to disadvantaged youth and $5 tickets to families through the Symphony Discovery Club program. The Symphony Society consists of more than 320 volunteers who work tirelessly in support of the orchestra and its programs.
