The "First Bite" Menu Release Party is presented by and hosted at the all new Mercedes-Benz of Bonita Springs and is the official kick-off celebration for Sizzle SWFL Restaurant Week.
Event Details
This premier event will showcase the amazing culinary skills of our local chefs and restaurants, in the backdrop of the stunning Mercedes-Benz of Bonita Springs. Be the first to taste the 2018 Winter Edition Sizzle SWFL Restaurant Week menus and enjoy unlimited "First Bite" samples from over 30 of our participating restaurants.

Additionally, the Silent Auction benefits the “Sizzle SWFL FGCU Food & Beverage Scholarship” which is awarded by FGCU each year to local SWFL High School graduates attending the FGCU Hospitality Program. Be sure to stop by the tables and leave a bid or two!
SWFL’s hospitality industry is very important to us! In 2017, the “Visit Florida” tourism bureau announced our local restaurant scene was voted the #2 reason why travelers visit SWFL (#1 was the beaches). This has put a strain on our local restaurants with finding qualified staffing. For our food scene to keep growing it needs good people!
With that being said, we have partnered with FGCU to provide an opportunity for our local youth. We have started the first of its kind, Sizzle SWFL FGCU Food & Beverage Scholarship.
The funds raised will be awarded by FGCU each year to qualified local SWFL High School graduates wishing to attend the Hospitality Food & Beverage Program at FGCU. We (Food Idea Group) have committed to fund the scholarship with a minimum of $10,000 per year from the “First Bite” Menu Release Party Silent Auction proceeds.
In addition, each Sizzle SWFL participating restaurant to donate $1 back from every Restaurant Week meal sold! This would help pledge an additional $50,000+ a year toward the scholarship!
