If you're looking for a new place to dine or a little change of pace when it comes to eating out in Ft. Myers, you owe it to yourself to check out the Morgan House.

A Downtown Ft. Myers landmark since 1923, the Morgan House is the place to be if you're looking for some true, quality dining with an unmatched sense of elegance and rich history.    “Honoring our past while embracing the future” is their motto and it shows.

Head in and start of with some small plate appetizers or tapas including their fried green tomato stack with roasted yellow peppers, caramelized onions, oven-dried roma tomatoes, and arugala/goat cheese or their Oysters Rockefeller with sauteed spinach, fresh fennel cream, apple wood smoked bacon, and shaved parmesan.

After the apps, move on to the Morgan House's eclectic selection of delectable entrees.  Choose from certified angus beef steaks like the 7-ounce filet or their 12-ounce New York strip.  Other entrees include free range chicken topped with shallots, wild mushrooms, boursin cheese, and a red wine demi glaze; butternut squash ravioli with roasted shallots, oven roasted tomatoes, asparagus, wild mushrooms & spinach in a mushroom broth; and Downtown Tortellini tossed with sun dried tomatoes, spinach and lobster cream sauce, and topped with mandarin oranges and shaved parmesan cheese.

The Morgan House also hosts a variety of live music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights as well as "Downtown's Best Happy Hour" from 4 to 8 p.m. during the week.  Enjoy 14 beers on tap, an extensive wine list, and a diverse selection of signature drinks.

If this sounds like you're kind of thing, head out the Morgan House in Ft. Myers soon and see the restaurant many have been praising since 1923.
