If anyone says Ft. Myers isn't a city dedicated to art and all those who create and support it, they probably haven't been to Fort Myers Art Walk in Downtown Ft. Myers.

Going down the first Friday of every month, the Fort Myers Art Walk is a great way to absorb all the culture and life downtown has to offer while commiserating with your neighbors from all across this beautiful city.  The Art Walk is styled as a tour of sorts through all of Downtown Ft. Myers art businesses and galleries and runs from 6 to 10 p.m. each month.

The tour, or walk, is self-guided and self-paced so you can revel in the work of certain galleries for as long as you please.  For a map of all the participating retailers and galleries in the Art Walk visit the Ft. Myers Art Walk website here.

The next Fort Myers Art Walk is on February 7th and boasts a slew of special, unique events and exhibits for art appreciators around the area.  The Art of the Olympians Gallery will unveil its newest feature, "Table Tennis Triumph", a historical, interactive exhibit that explores the history of this fast-paced sport.  Singer Dana Alvarez and Loren Vargas of the Young Artist Awards program will also be performing.  The HOWL gallery and tattoo studio will host an opening exhibit for co-owner Andy Howl's tattoo-inspired fine art pieces. In One Instant will host NAMASTE: A Photographic Interpretation of Yoga Practice featuring the photography of Marian Krauthamer.

These are just a few of the special happenings about to go down at the February 7 Fort Myers Art Walk.  Head out to Downtown Ft. Myers and support the local arts and economy by checking out the Art Walk on the first Friday of each month!
